New materials uploaded – have a great Christmas (or holiday of your choice)!

In view of the approaching holiday, I’m going to make this a brief and largely procedural posting today. I just wanted to let you know that I have uploaded several new items to the online publication list, including a selection of four short essays regarding the process of educating the PhD. These were composed at a time when I directed the PhD program in business administration at my previous all online University. They reflect some fairly to the point advice that I gave to the students at that time, but I think they are pretty generalizable to all graduate education and particularly to all PhD students. As usual, they reflect my own slightly quirky point of view, but I think they are interesting and well-written enough to commend them to your attention if you are involved at all with PhD education.

I’m also experimenting with uploading some video links to YouTube videos that I put together some time ago. They include the introductory lectures to the MBA program courses in management and organizational behavior and introduction to information systems, as well as a presentation made to the faculty a few years ago regarding a research project on improving interpretability of regression results. The latter should be seen on with the slides from the presentation, which are available on the online materials download page.

I will be extending and improving the availability of materials over the next couple of weeks. I’ll be taking tomorrow off, but I’ll be back with a new posting on Wednesday. Watch this space; I hope it’s worth it!
